SCHEDULED SAFETY DRILL
This morning the Schley County School District will be conducting a pre-planned Lockdown Drill. This drill is required by state law to be conducted annually for all schools in the State of Georgia. We also conduct this drill to practice and prepare our staff, students and local emergency responders to appropriately respond in the event of an armed intruder on our campus. This drill will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. If you attempt to visit the school during the drill you will not be able to enter until the drill is completed. We appreciate your support and assistance in providing for the safety and security of our students and staff.
Schley County Schools will be closed for Monday, March 16 .
Due to weather predictions for severe weather overnight and possibly into the morning, Schley County Schools will be closed. Please take precautions for any weather conditions that may occur. We want everyone to be safe and aware of this weather. If any conditions warrant further actions we will notify everyone.
This is the last week of Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Out-of-County registration. Come and get your child registered for the 2026-2027 school year!

During our Georgia Apply to College event, seniors will be given the opportunity to apply to college using GAfutures.org Georgia’s new online resource to help students plan, apply and find affordable ways to pay for college. Seniors interested in participating in the Apply to College event will need to sign up for a time in the front office by Monday, November 10th.
Seniors may either submit their application(s) during the event or save it to submit at a later time. On the day of our event, we will encourage students who do not have access to a payment method at school to save their application to submit at home.

Come on out today until 2:00 p.m., at the Schley County Board of Education and apply for a job!
It is important to keep information up to date in Infinite Campus. Some of the important information that needs to be current at all times is: contact information, address, emergency contacts list, family information, telephone numbers and email addresses. We often have a need to contact parents but find that contact information is missing or out of date. When school is closed due to inclement weather, we use parent contact information to send out notifications.
If you have a Parent Campus account, you can update information by selecting the More menu on the left side of the screen. It may be necessary for staff to contact you after you request a change to verify the information. You can also contact your child's school to make them aware of the updates in information.
