American Rescue Plan of 2021

On March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (H.R. 1319) was signed into law.  The $1.9 trillion package is intended to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, including the public health and economic impacts.  Those funds were distributed to multiple agencies within each state.  The Schley County School System received $2,002,523.98.  This amount was determined by the Georgia Department of Education.

After weeks of planning and research, the Schley County Board of Education has created a budget to best use these funds.  We are sharing this budget with all stakeholders in two formats, a list of dollar amounts and what will be purchased as well as a list of focus areas and the percentage of funds allocated to each.
