Schley County FFA paints house in conjunction with State Convention
Schley County FFA attended State convention in Macon Ga, April 25th-27th. The convention is a time where members all around GA come together for one massive awards banquet. The convention is headed up by the Georgia FFA state officers and is a fun time for everyone. The first day a few chapters took part of a community service project and set out to clean yards and paint houses. The Schley County FFA chapter painted a house. Rebuilding Macon organized the project and fed the chapters Chik-fil-a. During the convention members are recognized for achievements such as, winning a competition on state level, to earning their state degree. The chapters that took part of the community service had their pictures on the screen and were thanked by the State officers. The members can add the hours they spent painting the house to their AET to go towards their state and American degrees.
