students with snowflakes

Students recently learned about non-literal language, figurative language, and writing opinions in Mrs. Law's third grade classroom. Students read Snowflake Bentley, then created their own snowflakes. Students then wrote similes and metaphors to describe their snowflakes.  Students also  learned other types of non-literal language such as personification and alliteration to name a few!

Mrs. Law's Third grade class also wrote persuasive writings on "Is There a Better Way to Wrap Gifts?"  Students worked on third grade standards learning how to form an opinion, prove their opinion with reasons and organize an essay.
